TIME TO LIVE YOUR AFRICAN DREAM
Safari Time
Masuwe Lodge is situated on 1000 hectares (almost 2500 acres) of natural bushland which is home to wildlife including bush buck, kudu, sable, leopard, warthogs, impala and much more. The area is frequented by almost 500 bird species and one of our building supervisors reports 83 species on his Masuwe-garden-check-list. Our expert wildlife guides host early morning and evening walks on Masuwe, these are a great way to discover some of the smaller details of the African bush and really feel immersed in our extraordinary natural landscape. Our neighbour is the Chamabonda National Park, a sub-section of the Zambezi National Park which begins at the Victoria Falls and stretches some 40 kms up-river. Masuwe guides know the Park intimately and on morning and evening game drives they may help you spot elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, a variety of antelope species, hyena, lion, leopard and much more.
Local Time
Being located so close to the Falls our team of drivers will whizz you in to Victoria Falls for a tour of the Falls, for a spot of shopping or for one of the local touring activities. There is a lot to choose from –
At Masuwe Lodge we will co-ordinate your local experiences, ensuring you make the most of your time in Victoria Falls.
Down Time
Masuwe Lodge is a great place to relax and enjoy your own time at a slower pace. Fill your day reading, writing a few postcards or use the wifi to connect digitally. We can arrange for the local spa to send a masseuse who will sooth travel-weary muscles. Snooze by the pool, enjoy the birdlife that visits the gardens and generally take it easy. After a long flight or too many early mornings, our Chill Out Breakfast Hamper (delivered to the room at a time to suit you) is a gentle way to start the day. So, if you prefer to spend your time ‘at home’ with us, the team at Masuwe look forward to making your down-time a dream-time!
